We are using several cars for the inagural season of this series. For round 0 and the free content race of round 1, we selected the Alpine A110 Cup, and for the rest of the series we selected the BMW M235i Racing.

Both cars were selected to strike a balance between performance and driveability. They are reasonably easy to handle while still presenting a level of difficulty for the drivers as they learn the sport.

The Alpine was selected for round 0 as we wanted to stick to free content while giving the drivers a taste of what was to come and determine if the series would continue. It was selected for round 1 to give some continuity to racers as they took the next step in the sport.

The move to the BMW for the rest of the paid content series was due to it being an easier to drive car that was behind a paywall that would also include the rest of the tracks used in the paid series.

For the rest of the free content series, the idea was to create a signifigant power and difficulty scaling effect.

Georg Plasa's 134 Judd V8 is an absolute icon of a car that gives the feeling of tremendous power and speed, while maintaining reasonable level of driveability. This is a taste of what a truly serious race car is like.

The Aquila CR1 Sports GT is a step into a whole new level of motorsports. This is clearly a track only car with the handling and power to match. Drivers are now being expected to show some restraint and maybe even make some adjustments to the cars settings to acheive a good race.

The Lada Vesta may be the most impressive thing ever to come out of Russia. This tricky little front wheel drive monster will truly test our driver's adaptability. The sudden shift to a while new drive train with signifigantly different characteristics will get our drivers thinking on their feet. It's also a reminder that even the brakes can be overkill.

America has never really been known for it's restraint or cars with exquisite handling. The Saleen S7R is no exception. This monster pulls no punches and holds nothing back. Taming this beast will be quite the challenge for our novice drivers.

The Formula RaceRoom Junior is a nice entrypoint to the raw thrill of open seater racing. Little more than a motor with a seat and 4 wheels attached, drivers will be tasked with keeping this little demon on the track with effectively nothing between them and the track.
